Varsity girls tennis took the win 5-0 against Griffith on Monday, April 8. The second match of their season was played well, with great weather. The sun shining in the high 60’s was unusual for the girls to see this early in the season.
“We played really well, I used it as a practice for our upcoming matches,” Vanessa Olson (12) said.
Girls tennis has a total of four matches this week and a tournament this upcoming Saturday, April 13 at Hobart High School. Coach Kate Muesing is going out of town to receive an award for biology and won’t be able to attend the rest of the week’s matches.
“I know our coaches’ expectations, so I think we can still do well,” Emily Birlson (10) said.
Playing hard, the girls didn’t fall to the Panthers during this match and hope to continue strong through the rest of their week.
