The Indians and Crown Point Bulldogs will square off at LC this afternoon for crosstown bragging rights. The Tribe heads into the contest with a record of 9-4 (3-2 DAC), while the Bulldogs enter 9-2 (6-0). The Class of 2013 will be on full display: Nicholas Kellams will be on the hill for the men in blue and white, while Zach Plesac is slated to start for CP.
The Indians have not forgotten what happened the last time these arch-rivals met. Crown Point pitcher Ronnie Plesac struck out 13 batters over six innings in a 4-1 Bulldogs victory. Alec Olund (11) and Ryan Burvan (12) accounted for four of the Tribe’s five hits, and Olund scored their lone run on a throwing error.
Rivalry games are always circled in Sharpie on the calendar, and this matchup is no exception. The Indians will look to score early and often in an attempt to exact revenge on their DAC foes.
Join us at 4:30 for a marvelous rendition of America’s pastime.
Roll Tribe.
