On Thursday May 2, the boys baseball team had a home-field victory over Merrillville with a final score of 8-4.
“It went pretty good. We had just one rocky inning where we had a couple errors, but other than that we played pretty good,” Charles Alexa (11) said.
Amidst the sudden change in temperature that day, the boys didn’t let outside obstacles affect their desire to win.
“We need to stay focused throughout the whole game and stop making errors,” Alexa said.
For future games against more daunting teams, the team has corrections in mind for itself to polish up its consistency.
“We need to play as a team and not as individuals,” Christian Sullivan (11) said.
With so much success as a team in previous seasons, the 2013 boys have big shoes to fill.
