The Indians faced the Slicers at home on Wednesday night. Nicholas Kellams (12) pitched for the 4-0 win.
“Even though LaPorte had a bad record they have always played well against us and we knew that coming into it and we know we had to play our best game,” Alec Olund (12) said.
Olund had two RBI singles with the bases loaded. Brenden Seren (11) and Ryan Burvan (12) also made a double play to end the game.
“Our team has really grown together and started playing as one,” Ryan Burvan (12) said.
The boys have been working well as a team to win their game against LaPorte.
“The game went well, but there is always room for improvement,” Brenden Seren (11) said.
The Indians will continue to work for their upcoming sectional games.
