With the first day of school less than 24 hours away, most students have prepared their binders, stuffed their backpacks and memorized their schedules. However, this year, Lake Central is trying something different with the Matrix Schedule.

The schedule will go as follows:

Blue day:

• First period (1)
• Second period (2)
• Third period (3)
• Fourth period (4)

White day:

• Fifth period (5)
• Sixth period (6)
• Seventh period (7)
• “Matrix Period”

Because there is no eighth period, the fourth class on white day will change, following the order of periods. On the first “matrix period,” students will go to their first hour class. On the second, their second hour class, until they have two seventh hour periods in a row. Then, the pattern starts again.
