Good food for good cause

On Sunday, Dec. 15, students gathered at Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Schererville to help raise money for Dollars For Scholars. Part of the proceeds from buying a meal went toward scholarships for Lake Central DFS members.
“I came to Five Guys today because I really like their burgers. It was also nice to help out the students who deserve to get a scholarship,” Spencer Shipman (10) said.
Dollars for Scholars collects money to give deserving Lake Central students scholarships. They meet once every month in the LGI after school.
