JV girls basketball defeats Morton by a landslide
January 10, 2014
On the snowy evening of Jan. 4, the JV girls basketball team began warming up for their game against the Morton Lady Governors.
The score quickly started to rise for the JV Lady Indians. The girls worked together to pass and shoot around the other team’s defense.
“The girls played very unselfishly. They worked hard and I’m proud of them,” Keith Hauber, Coach, said.
By the final buzzer the score was 62-11.
“We have improved our communication and are better at looking for open passes,” Zhanae Howard (10) said.
The team’s chemistry is a large part of their success. They have worked hard all season and are planning on a big finish.
“I’m blessed with a great group. They’re respectful to each other and to me, which is a blessing,” Hauber said.
The team is currently undefeated and looking for a win at LaPorte on Thursday, Jan. 9 for the DAC Championship.
