Having a place in town known for decent coffee is important to a lot of people. Grindhouse Cafe in Griffith has much more to offer than a decent cup of coffee.

Grindhouse is a coffee shop that also doubles as a perfect cafe for lunchtime. The coffee is the best in the area in my opinion, and the food is really great as well.

The specials at Grindhouse change constantly, always giving customers great new options to try. You can find these specials on the menu, which is handwritten on the chalkboard wall.

This cafe is a great place for students to sit and do homework or for adults to sit and chat. It has a unique atmosphere that makes it easy to sit at a table for long periods of time without having the thought of leaving.

Currently Grindhouse is in the running for the Time’s 2014 Best of the Region under the categories of Best Lunch, Best Sandwich and Best Coffee, so if you’re already a Grindhouse lover you can vote online to spread the word throughout Northwest Indiana.

If you’ve yet to go to the cafe, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to hangout with friends or spend some alone time with a book.
