At Munster High School on April 8,the JV Indians baseball team grabbed a victory over the Munster Mustangs. The Indians won with a score of 6-2.

“It was a good feeling and experience. It was good to get a win out of them because they are our rivals and it was only our third game,” Ian Gifford (10) said.

The boys hope to have a good season, but they still have room for improvement ahead of them.

“[The season will be] pretty good. We started off good. We need to improve our bunting skills though,” Matthew Litwicki (9) said.

Depending on how well the boys prepare for the game can reflect the outcome of their performance, and the boys hope to continue their wins throughout the season.

“[To prepare for each game,] we usually hit and listen to music in the cages in the gym. I think I did pretty good, I started and put in a couple runs,” Litwicki said.

Their next game is Thursday, April 10, at home against the Hanover Wildcats at 4:30 p.m.
