Environmental Club is working on making an impact on Lake Central students and how they treat the environment and make a change. Members meet every other week, and are currently working on creating a mural made out of bottle caps.
“We promote awareness, collect caps, try to make a difference and keep our school clean,” Ariana Bulett (12) said.
Students of every grade come together and take the initiative to help the environment by taking steps around Lake Central.
“We do cleanings of our wetlands and pick up garbage around the school,” Bulett said.
Even with the cold temperatures and inability to actually volunteer and be outside, members still try to make a change.
“We can’t do any activities outdoor at the moment, but we still try to volunteer, just everything we do must be inside,” Carlos Salas (12) said.
Joining this club has benefits besides solely helping the environment.
“[Environmental Club] looks great for college applications,” Alyssa Graves (12) said.
Environmental Club is working on making Lake Central better.
“We help raise awareness and support about helping the environment and fix environmental issues and share the importance of the environment,” Graves said.
