The Tribe of Pride marched its way through the final Indiana State School Music Association competition on Saturday, October 29. The band initially placed fourth, but due to a timing discrepancy, it placed eighth instead.
“I thought the band’s performance was outstanding,” Mr. Nelson, music director, said.
Although the marching band placed eighth, most were thrilled with what they accomplished at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
“I was standing in the parade block thinking we had such a fantastic show, but how could we have gotten eighth?” Gina Daniele (10) said.
With a record-breaking run of the show “Somewhere in Time”, the Tribe of Pride continues their work in order to prepare for upcoming national competitions.
“Now that we have our entire show completed, we can finally fix all our previous mistakes,” Noah Malm (12) said.
