On Sept. 18, Dollars for Scholars met to set up and update their profiles for the upcoming school year.
“Students update their profile from year to year. They put in their activities, they put in personal information, their transcripts [from] their senior year, a bunch of different things. Once they get to their senior year, the more they put in, the more scholarships they are matched to and the more money they will be eligible for,” Ms. Ashley Kline, Guidance, said.
Students who are interested in volunteering opportunities and potential college scholarships can join Dollars for Scholars.
“Try to start [Dollars for Scholars] early because you can get more money if you’re volunteering more and you have more to put down instead of joining last minute like I am,” Sydnee Barrins (12) said.
The next club meeting will be held on Oct. 15 in the LGI.
