With winter sports beginning, the girls prepare their routines for the upcoming gymnastics season. Throughout the summer and the fall, the girls have been creating their routines for each of the four events: floor, bars, beam and vault.
“The team has a choreographer that helps us put together routines based on what looks good and what we do best,” Haley Bartolomei (12) said.
There are many gymnasts returning this year, but the team took a hit when they lost several key members., such as Randi Kass (Class of ’11) and Kaitlyn Moricz (11).
“We’re optimistic, but we lost some good people from last year,” Bartolomei said.
The official season starts in two weeks, which will give the team another month or so to practice, and then they will be given the ultimate test at their first meet on Tuesday, January 10.
