On March 17, Dollars for Scholars met to learn about upcoming volunteer work that is available to students. As the end of the school year is approaching, more volunteer opportunities arise.

“Today we talked about the upcoming volunteer opportunities that we have. We have a lot coming up at the end of the school year, like our Dollars for Scholars awards team which includes us giving scholarships [to students],” Mrs. Ashley Kline, Guidance, said.

Students value the opportunities they are given for volunteer work as it may benefit them in the long run. However, Dollars for Scholars holds more opportunity than just scholarship money. Students are given multiple opportunities toward the end of the year to give their time to various school events.

“We also run the Grand March, so we need students to help decorate and help run it from 4- 5:30 [p.m.] on May 7,” Mrs. Kline said.
