The JV baseball team defeated the Bishop Noll Warriors on Tuesday, March 29, winning their first game of the season.
“I think the game went pretty well besides the fact that in the first inning, we didn’t really play good defense,” Douglas Visnack (10) said.
Bishop Noll started off the game with five points in the first inning, and Lake Central scored four. The Indians picked up the pace later in the game, scoring two points in the second inning and three points in the third.
“I think our team can improve on staying more focused once we have the lead instead of coasting and feeling content,” Visnack said.
The Indians battled against the Warriors for seven innings before taking the game with a final score of 9-5.
“[Our team’s goal for the season is to] just keep winning,” Visnak said.
The next JV baseball game will take place on Tuesday, April 5, at Chesterton.
