Dollars for Scholars underclassmen members met in the LGI on Thursday, May 19, to discuss upcoming events. The main purpose of the meeting was getting ahead on planning for the following year.

The club will be putting on a new Halloween fundraiser next year. The fundraiser includes indoor trick-or-treating, costume contests and other activities.

“The new fundraiser for DFS is extremely important because it will be one of the first events of the school year. It is the first year of this event, so we want to be prepared for everything and anything,” Katrina Lozanoski (11) said.

In addition to discussing the new fundraiser, the members started to talk about next year’s Homecoming dance. The preparation for this will begin in the summer.

“It is important to start planning now, so we have a plan of what we are going to do,” Lozanoski said.

This was the last student DFS meeting of the school year.
