The LC wrestling team faced tough competition against Crown Pointat a home meet on Thursday, Dec. 16. Even though the team suffered a lost, Stephanie Smith (11), the mat maid, has hope for the team.
“Even though LC went up against one of the best schools in the state, a lot of guys stepped it up and gave a good effort,” Smith said.
This was the team’s first lost in the DAC; fans have confidence the team will rise from their defeat. Michelle Wartman (11), another mat maid, supported the team after their defeat to the Bulldogs.
“I think the team did good because they can learn from their mistakes tonight, and that will only make them better as a team and individually,” Wartman said.
