On Jan. 21, the Business Professionals of America participated in the district competition against clubs from schools throughout the area.
LC took first place in the contest winning all team events.
“LC beat everyone badly, especially Crown Point,” Noah Sarkey (10) said.
Sarkey is traveling to State for both his group and individual events with several other club members and teams in early March.
The club assembled in early September and has been preparing for competition ever since.
“Overall, we did a lot better than every other school we competed with. We are very smart and, we’re very prepared,” Joseph Clark (10) said.
All of the hard work paid off last weekend, and they are hoping it benefits them again at State.
“[BPA] is a lot of fun and a lot of work, but it is definitely worth it,” Ashley Smith (12) said.
