Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and peer-mentoring students have already been working. Hand-made Valentine’s Day cards are on display in town square this week.
“The big cards are $1, and the littler ones are 50 cents,” Tessa DeSalvo (12) said.
The cards are decorated in all Valentine’s Day colors: pink, white and red. Not all of the cards have sayings, but some may be chosen with messages in them.
“Some have little, common Valentine’s Day sayings like ‘be mine’,” DeSalvo said.
The cards are all hand-made from West Lake students as well as the peer mentors. West Lake advisors help as well.
“They are going to be sold until Valentine’s Day, but after that [the students are] going to make birthday cards, as well,” DeSalvo said.
