Teeing off the Season

LC Boys Golf began its season with a match against Munster and Highland. The five varsity members tried their best to defeat their competition.

“I did well and scored 40. JV actually scored the same as varsity yesterday,” Jonathan Gross (11) said.
The scores ranged from 40 to 42 for all the varsity members, a score range they were happy with. It was a chilly day, after all, but there was not too much wind.

“The cold does affect us a little, but the wind has a much greater affect on us,” Mark Crook (11) said.

The golfers still achieved low scores. LC defeated Highland, but they were not able to beat Munster.

“We need to work on the weakest part of our game. For some of us, it is putting and for others it is hitting off the tee,” Crook said.

The team is working to improve its game and have a successful season.

“I hope we win Sectionals this year and beat Munster because all the other LC sport teams have defeated Munster,” Gross said.
