The Girls Tennis team competed against Merrillville on Tuesday at a home match. The match ended in a win, defeating Merrillville 3-2.
“Knowing it was my last home match, I wanted to come out with a win, that way I would end on a good note,” Bre Falcone (12) said.
It was the Girls’ last home match of the season, and it was Senior Night. During Senior Dinner, the coach personally recognized all the seniors, and the freshmen represented the seniors with personalized gifts.
“This season went really well for me. I got scouted to play for college but ended up turning them down,” Falcone said.
For seniors, it is a bittersweet ending.
“It’s sad to know that it’s my last year playing, but I’m moving on and the friendships that I’ve made are long-lasting,” Falcone said.
