The girls Varsity soccer team had a game at Munster on Sept. 5. They brought home a victory with a final score of 3-0.

“This season so far is going well. I think we all have things we can work on. But tonight’s game was the best we have played all season together and it makes me happy to see how our team has grown from the start,” Brenna Thompson (12) said.

In the first half Joanna Lomeli (10) scored two goals in a row for the Indians. Maggie Fudacz (10) also scored a goal for the team in the first half.

“I play forward and I love the fact that I get to enjoy my time up there. I get to score goals [and] make my teammates happy,” Lomeli said.

Overall, the girls had a good game that led them to a win. Coach Thomas is proud of the girls and how they did everything he asked of them.

“I told the girls at halftime we have been working really hard on training, on our transition from defense to midfield to forward, and this is the best I’ve seen for them to go from training to a game and execute. They truly executed everything I asked, so I was really happy with tonight’s game,” Coach Thomas said.
