The Indians pull a win

On Thursday, Dec. 5, the boys Junior Varsity basketball team faced off against the Gary Lighthouse Lions. The boys pulled through with a win, finishing the game with a score of 71-32.

“[We could] always improve [the student section], so far [it is] not bad at all,” Myles Yekich (9) said.

Players reminisce on ways they as a team could improve. For the next game, they hope to bring in yet another win.

“My goal for the next game is the same goal for every game, and it’s to go out and get the win. As a team I believe we could rebound and move the call more,” Brandon Escobedo (9) said.

As the season is still young, the boys reflect on the true purpose of the game. With many games left ahead of them, they have much to look forward to.

“We’re always just trying to have a great time while playing basketball, as well as make each other better. I’m loving it so far, ” Yekich said.

The boys’ next game will be on Tuesday, Dec. 10 against the Gary Westside Cougars at home. Be sure to come out and support the Indians!
