The members of N-Teens gathered together to help pack Winter Formal favors on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The group of students’ meeting different than any of their previous meetings.

“This meeting was definitely not traditional. We put 1,000 hot chocolate packets in 1,000 mugs to use as party favors for the dance,” Clarissa Moreno (10) said.

The club has been preparing and planning for Winter Formal since September. The participation of the whole group has made the process of planning for the dance an easier task.

“I have contributed to planning by deciding what favors to give, choosing which decorations to use and working with the DJ to provide the best music,” Catalina Valejo (9) said.

Winter Formal is to be held on Jan. 25. Not only have the members of the club been preparing, but some of the members plan to help at the dance itself.

“We will be helping with counting votes for king and queen, setting up, checking coats in, cleaning and more,” Moreno said.

With some final touches, the group has completed the arrangements needed for Winter Formal. In the end, the club hopes to create a memorable dance for the students to remember.

“I want people at Winter Formal to notice how well we decorated for the dance. We put a lot of time into it and I hope that everyone loves it,” Valejo said.
