JV girls make the play

Taylor Anderson, Team Leader

The JV girls basketball team went head-to-head with West Side High School on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at home. The girls won with a score of 66-10.

“It was a great game for our team and we all worked together,” Catherine Foster (10) said.

This particular game, the team stole a lot of loose balls. They then used that momentum to keep making baskets.

“Our season is going good if we just work hard so that we continue to keep a good record,” Foster said.

Even with big wins like this one, the team still has things they would like to improve on. They are looking forward to the season ahead.

“I think this game went good. We need to work on not having so many turnovers,” Sanja Aleksic (10) said.

The team prepares for games like this in a lot of ways. They worked together to pull off the win.

“We want to win against Portage or at least make it close,” Aleksic said.

The girls next home game takes place on Jan. 24, at 4:30 p.m.
