On Friday, Jan. 31, the  JV boys basketball team was defeated by Chesterton in a close battle. The boys lost with a final score of  47-42. On the home court, the boys played hard and fought tirelessly throughout the entire game.

“We did good, we kept up with them, we just didn’t finish. We’re all a family and can rely on each other when we play,” Tre Adams (10) said.

Despite the loss, the boys thought they played well on the court. Their hustle, free throws and defense carried them through the game but fell through towards the end.

“It’s been a great a great season so far all we need to is keep practicing hard to get more wins were going to improve more on defence and getting up and down the floor more I think we did pretty good mentally, but physically we weren’t there as a team,” Karson Kolin (9) said.

The team describes how they come together during practice to increase their playing skills in the game. Their bond then transfers to the court and is shown by their performance.

“Our bond is very strong and it translates on and off the court. We all know each other well so we know when to pass the ball around to find the open shots,” Colin said.
