Q: What has changed most drastically in your life because of the coronavirus?

A: “A lot of things have changed, but I would say that not being able to go out to see friends has been the thing that has affected me the most.”

Q: Are you practicing social distancing?

A: “Yes, my dad made the decision to keep me in the house starting on the first Monday that we had out of school and I haven’t been out since except for getting groceries.”

Q: How has social distancing affected you?

A: “It’s affected me mostly by making me feel bored and lonely because I can’t see my friends or my girlfriend, but it’s a little better because I can hang with my little brother if need be.”

Q: How has e-learning been?

A: “It’s been tolerable. I mean, it’s mostly busy work except for a couple classes, but at least it is something to do.”

Q: What is your favorite part of e-learning? Least?

A: “My favorite part of e-learning is that it only takes a couple hours to do and I can wake up at any time to do it. My least favorite part of e-learning is that there is homework in every class every day so it is kind of overwhelming.”

Q: What are your thoughts on being off of school until May 1?

A: “I think that it is necessary to  prevent the virus from spreading further and I know it sucks but we have to do it.”

Q: People are saying that having e-learning is too easy. What do you think?

A: “I think that it’s fine the way it is. [It] gives me something to do that isn’t sleeping and playing video games.”

Q: How do you feel about sports and school events being canceled?

A: “I think that it sucks for seniors whose last year this would have been, but it is necessary so this virus doesn’t last longer than need be.”

Q: What do you do to stay active during the coronavirus?

A: “I go for a run and after I usually play basketball with my brother. Then later on I’ll do a quick ab circuit to keep me in good shape for football.”

Q: What are you doing to stay social during the coronavirus?

A: “[I’m] talking and texting people pretty much. I text my friends every day and I facetime my mom and girlfriend every day as well.”
