JV Girls Soccer Shutout

Hailey Prasopoulos, Media Chief

On Sept. 8, The Lake Central JV Girls Soccer team competed against the Bishop Noll warriors for an away game. This was their 7th game of the season. After a loss against their rival the Munster Mustangs the previous game, the team was determined to pull out a win.

“Personally I think we played the game to our advantage, we connected passes, worked highly on communication and our finishes were the strongest they have been all season. I was happy to see everyone had a chance to play during the game. It really boosted the confidence of our team watching all of us to work together,” Lauren Prasopoulos (10) said.

Prasopoulos contributed the first goal of the game from a header during a corner kick in the first half.

“There is always room for growth but I personally feel like if we keep playing our level and we don’t play down to the opposing teams’ levels we will really succeed this year and the years after that,” Isabel Chavez (9) said.

Chavez scored two goals during the first half of the game as well.  The team had multiple scoring opportunities that led them to their 8-0 shutout win. Come out to their next home game this Saturday against the LaPorte Slicers.
