2020 has been a very different and insane year for everybody. With the coronavirus pandemic, quarantining and a new school atmosphere, it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed during these times. Taking time for yourself and relaxing can help manage stress and improve mental health during quarantine.

Improving mental health while quarantining is important. Doing an at-home workout routine will make you feel better and will help relieve stress. Even just taking ten minutes to do a few simple exercises can help. You can easily access quick and easy workouts on Pinterest. Taking a walk around your neighborhood or finding a nature trail near you is a great way to get exercise and to get out of your house.

Taking time for yourself and relaxing is important during quarantine. Reading your favorite book with a candle is a great way to relax. Even something as simple as turning on some of your favorite music and laying down can help.

Playing with your pets is also a great way to cope with stress. It is proven that playing with your dog or other pet can reduce stress and improve your mood. If you are feeling overwhelmed, make sure to video call friends and family to stay connected.

Quarantining can be hard, but making sure to find ways to relax and stay connected with friends and family can make it much easier to sustain.
