On Monday Sept. 21, the JV volleyball team won against Lowell after a long fight for four sets.  The first set ended 21-25 for Lowell, second set 25-17 for LC, third set 25-14 for LC and last set 25-16 for LC. The girls celebrated winning after a long match.

Going into the game the girls noted the small roster and the appearance of the Lowell team. This led them to believe it would not be an easy game. “My expectations were that they would be very quick on their feet because they didn’t have much height and that they would  be bonded well because of their small roster.” Milica Tomic (9) said

“We didn’t come out strong at first so they stuck with us, but once we started playing our game the turnout was better. There have been lots of memorable plays but for sure one where we’ve gotten a big block or kill,” Milica Tomic (9) said.

This game may have been a win for the JV Volleyball team, but they still believe they can improve from it. The girls’ next game is home on Oct. 1 against Michigan City High School at 5:45.

“I thought the final score for the game was representative of the way we played. I do believe that we did not play our best this game, but that we have improved throughout the week. This win was closer than I and the team would have wanted,” Coach Jessica Reid said.
