Taylor Swift recently dropped her new version of Fearless on April 9. Fans were more than ready to hear this album after she announced she was recording her old albums. Swift announced on Twitter on Feb. 22 that she was done re-recording Fearless. She posted the new album art along with a message about recording this album again.

The day that Swift announced her re-recording of Fearless she said that “Love Story” would be out at midnight. She also included a hint about the release date in the message she put on twitter. She randomly capitalized letters in her message that would spell out April Ninth. This made fans believe that would be when the album would be released.

Swift released 26 songs in the album including six songs from the vault. Those six songs were originally supposed to be in the first Fearless album, but Scooter Braun did not think they would make the cut. Swift wanted her fans to hear the full story, not just a piece of it. In the album, all the songs have “Taylor’s Version” in parentheses next to the song title because these are her songs now as she has finally gained rights over them.

Fearless is one of the best selling albums of the 21st century, so it was not a surprise when the re-recorded version became a hit. Both albums are very similar, which was her point. Although I’ve heard all these songs before, I think it brings a new meaning to her songs. She has rights over these songs this time around. This album will definitely be on repeat for the next few months.
