The girls JV soccer team played the Crown Point Bulldogs on Tuesday afternoon. The team lost against the Bulldogs with a score of 3-0. The girls were playing in intense conditions of 90 degrees, with lots of sun and humidity.

I look forward to playing Munster and Valpo because those are usually our most intense games,” Rylie Pancoast (10), said.

Pancoast says that she fell in love with soccer and is looking forward to being on the girls varsity team. One of the team’s goalies, Jessica Depner (10),  also shared her future plans for her soccer career at LC.

“I definitely see myself being on varsity in the future. I’ve been getting a few varsity minutes already, so by next year, I’m hoping to have made my way up. Soccer has always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve always wanted to play in college,”

Depner says that away meets are always enjoyable because of the fun trips there and back with her team. The season has only just begun, this game being the second one that they have played. The next JV girls soccer game is Tuesday, Aug. 31st. Make sure to come and support our Indians.
