On Monday, Oct. 8th, members of the Athletic Boosters Club met in the LGI. The parents of student-athletes discussed various topics such as fundraising events and sports equipment.

“I think the club is a good program to help support sports at LC. I found about the club last year, but this is my first year as a parent representative,” Dawn Kusbel, Athletic Booster member, said.

Athletic Boosters Club members meet every couple of weeks to decide how they can help raise money for sports teams through fundraising events. The club sets up events such as raffles and tailgating.

“This is my fourth year in the club. I joined because I like to help out and I think it is good for the parents of students to give back and help raise money for the teams.” Shelly Glatt, Athletic Booster member, said.

The annual fundraiser for the Athletic Booster Club is usually a silent auction which takes place in April. This year they are considering a Vegas Night for Friday, April 26, 2013.
