Celebrating his point, varsity tennis player Keri Conrath (11) looks at his teammate. Conrath scored against Valpo which helped bring the team closer to their victory. “I joined the tennis team last year just because I wanted to try something new out and I ended up liking it so I decided to keep playing. I try to show up early to practice as much as I can to show that I am committed to the team. Tennis makes me mentally stronger and somewhat more aware which is why I love it,” Conrath said.
At Lake Central on Sept. 19, the boys varsity tennis team took on Valparaiso. Despite their incredible efforts they did unfortunately lose the match. Lots of hard work has been being put into the team by the coaches and players.
