On Thursday April 25, girls varsity played against their rivals, Chesterton.
“[Playing Chesterton] motivated us a lot more, especially since they beat us in Regionals last year. We really wanted to win,” Aspyn Novak (10) said.
The score changed greatly throughout the game. However, the girls ended up falling to Chesterton 5-8.
“They started hitting us, our defense broke down and we all got flustered,” Annabel Karberg(10) said.
Although the girls lost the game, they continue to stay focused on improving their game and always playing better with more games to come.
“[We should have] stayed focused and calmed down. We got down, and we needed to just stay up and positive,” Karberg said.
The next game is tonight, Monday April 29 at Crown Point.
