On Tuesday Aug. 27, the girls varsity soccer team gave the Michigan City Wolves a run for their money, walking off of the field with a 9-1 victory.

“We were connecting our passes, and we were definitely playing together as a team,” Julie Moore, varsity coach, said.

The ladies ended the first half of the game already dominating the field with a score of 5-0. Throughout the game, they continued to score goal after goal, leaving them with the ending score of 9-1.

“There are definitely still some things to improve on. We need to use the people behind us more, use our drops, and get open. However, we are definitely working on things and I am very happy with their progress,” Moore said.

The next girls varsity soccer game will be on Saturday, Aug. 31 against the Highland Trojans.
