After school on Tuesday, Aug. 27, the LGI room was filled with dozens of students in various grades attending the callout meeting for one of LC’s many clubs: N-teens.

The club’s main focus is volunteer work.

“My favorite part is working with the students,” Mrs. Erin Rawls, Math, said.

Taylor Koutropoulos (12) is the president of N-teens this year. Her and her best friend, Jessica Coniglio (12), have been involved in the club since freshman year.

“I plan to help people get involved.. Not just with winter formal but with actually volunteering. [I want to get] people to do things in groups,” Koutropoulos said.

The meeting started out with sign-ups, and then continued on with useful information about upcoming volunteer events. Mrs. Rawls and Mrs. Kelsey Becich, English explained what the club was about, and answered questions.

N-teens has a Twitter page for its members this year. Follow @LCNteens for updates, meeting reminders and more. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 10 after school in the LGI. See Mrs. Rawls in E200 or Mrs. Becich E113 with any further questions.
