On Monday Aug. 26 the volleyball team drove to their first away match against Highland.

“I didn’t want us to play down to their level, and I wanted to make this a good preparation for Munster,” Stepanian said.

It was a hot night for everyone in the gym. Players and fans were dripping with sweat after just minutes of being in the gym. The players were soaked as the whistle was blown for the first serve.

“I think we were lagging because of the heat a little bit, but our ability to finish off the games was good,” Stepanian said.

Through the heat, the girls managed to pull out a win, beating the Trojans in 3 sets: 25-17, 25-21 and 25-18.

Julia Kruzan (10) has goals of her own for this upcoming season.

“[I want] to have a better attitude and not get down, and to be more vocal on the court,” Kruzan said.
