American Heart Association donation
October 11, 2013
The boys football team is selling T-shirts for the American Heart Association. Some of the boys have been selling these shirts for a donation of $10 during every lunch period.
“We have been doing this donation every year for the past three years. I think it is a great thing,” Brian Rice (12) said.
The football team is carrying on the three-year tradition of helping the American Heart Association by selling the T-shirts at lunches and hosting a Red Out at their game on Friday, Oct. 11.
“We are wearing red accessories on our game against Merrillville. We have also done this for the past three years too,” Rice said.
The shirts are made for the student section to wear to the game on Friday. By donating a shirt, students will help a great cause and represent the association, along with the boys on the team.
“I think it’s a great thing for Lake Central to be a part in giving these donations for those who really need it through this association,” Isabella Giovane (11) said.
A student section full of red shirts is what the football team plans to have on Friday to show LC’s respect for the association. Students can buy shirts for the remainder of the week in the Town Square during all lunches.
