The first JV boys basketball game of the season was held Nov. 25 at home against Andrean. To start the team’s season off right, the Indians defeated the 59’ers with a score of 32-15.

“We started at the very beginning of summer, practicing and working hard for this season and getting prepared for it; we make sure our bodies are in good shape in order to run up and down the court for four quarters and compete with people who are bigger than us,” Dijon Edwards (10) said.

According to Skylar Smith (10), the boys began their season on the right foot by beating Andrean. They worked hard for this season and plan to work hard for upcoming games.

“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen and others make it happen…that’s exactly what we did. We made it happen,” Smith said.

The next JV boys basketball game will be held Friday, Dec. 6 at home against Merrillville.
