The varsity girls basketball team showed the Crown Point Bulldogs how deep their talent ran by defeating them 61-39.

“I think we played well together and kept each other up. I think everybody helped us win, and that’s definitely what makes us play as a great team,” Tara Zlotkowski (11) said.

Zlotkowski racked up 19 points in the game. At halftime, the score was 35-20 in favor of the Lady Indians. Lake Central led the game for the entire night.

“We take every game we play very seriously. We played together as a team which is why I enjoy playing with these girls,” Rolanda Curington (12) said.

Curington added 10 points to the score. The Lady Indians will rematch with the Bulldogs on Fri. Dec. 27 at noon.

“With some key players not hitting shots, everybody contributed for this win,” Zlotkowski said.
