On Thursday, Jan. 23, the varsity girls swim team faced the Munster Mustangs in an emotional battle. It was Senior night, which compelled the seniors to reflect on all the memories and hard work that was put in over the years.

“I had to stop myself from crying because today [will be] the last time I’ll ever swim in this pool and with this team. I can’t think of a word to describe it,” Holly Spears (12) said.

Though it was the last night competing in their brand-new pool, the varsity swim girls can count on Sectionals, which is approaching soon.

“As a team, I think we all [had] really good times, which makes us excited for Sectionals in a few weeks,” Brianna Shoemaker (12) said.

Though the girls lost with a total score of 126-60, they celebrated their seniority with pizza and refreshments afterwards.
