The boys varsity basketball team went up against the Chesterton Trojans on Friday, Jan. 31, and stayed undefeated in the DAC when they won 77-45.

“Our whole team got along well. When one of us is playing good, then we all play good. That’s what happened against Chesterton,” Tyler Ross (12) said.

From the start of the game, the Indians raced out of the gates and kept a lead against the Trojans. In the third quarter, the Indians made 15 points that Chesterton left unanswered. This charge left Chesterton trailing the Indians by 36 points.

“We came out with a lot of energy and got what we deserved in the game,” Ross said.

The Indians are now 12-2 and 4-0 in the DAC. They face the Merrillville Pirates on Friday, Feb. 7 at Merrillville High School at 7:30 p.m.
