The JV boys basketball team took on Crown Point Friday, Feb. 21. The boys battled point-by-point throughout the whole game and ended in victory over the Bulldogs with a final score of 37-36.

“I think we did okay. We didn’t play our best game of the season. There are definitely some good things to take away from it, [like] us winning on the road against a good team, a rival,” Coach Andrew Locke said.

The Indians lead the Bulldogs by a few points by halftime with a score of 19-17.

“We’ve lost some close games recently. We won a few close games, which is a good sign that we are maturing a little bit, playing together more and executing well at the end of games, which is really important. We have won three straight games and hopefully we can end on a solid note, but I’d say we have improved a lot, which is encouraging,” Locke said.

The boys finished out second in conference with a 5-2 conference record. They will play their last game this Friday, Feb. 28, at South Bend Adams High School.
