The Varsity Girls Soccer team dominated in a 4-0 victory against one of their rivals, the Munster Mustangs, at an away game. Before the girls walked onto the field, they had pre-game concerns about the outcome of the game.

“[I was worried] about making sure we were all marked up and making runs for the ball,” Jane Gates (12) said.

Within the first period of the game, LC surpassed Munster and scored.

“I scored the first goal in the seventh minute of the game. I felt elated,” Hillary Campbell (12) said.

Throughout the game, three more girls each scored a goal that led to the triumph over Munster.

“[When I made a goal] I was so excited because it was my first time scoring while being on the varsity team,” Michelle Wartman (11) said.

The Lady Indians finished up the game with a winning score against Munster.

“Winning the game was a good victory and a solid win,” Wartman said.

The girls conquered Munster, and the team still manages to focus on its strength.

“I thought [Munster] was a good win, but I know we all have to keep working hard,” Gates said.
