On Nov. 29, JV girls basketball played against Highland at Lake Central. The girls won the game 58-21 and left the court with their heads held high.
“In the beginning I was a little scratchy and had a lot of errors. In the second half I got out of my shell,” Rachel Robards (9) said.
Robards and the other players have been playing well so far in this season, and hope to continue winning throughout the next few months.
“I think that [the team] is doing fantastic [this season], it’s great to see our work come into the game. Overall, I’m very proud of the JV [team] and this is a great start to the season,” Brianna Rubesha, Science, said.
There is always room for improvement in this sport, but practice eventually makes perfect. Some of the players on JV have higher hopes for the future.
“I hope to dress for Varsity one day,” Robards said.
