Feb. 11 held many patriotic feelings of American pride for Interact Club. The meeting was held to discuss the status on the Support the Troops bags. These bags have been passed out to teachers in an attempt to collect supplies for our men and women overseas.
“We give the bags to the teachers. Then the teachers are supposed to talk to their classes and have the students bring in the options [listed] on the bag,” Tyler Dernulc (11) said.
Students are encouraged to bring in anything they think a service member might enjoy such as books, magazines and handwritten letters.
“I think supporting the veterans is the least American citizens can do because they make life so tension-free for us. We tend to overlook all they do,” Niji Shah (11) said.
Interact is always welcoming new club members and wants help to make a difference. Those who are interested in helping the effort to support our troops can talk to Mr. Clark in Room C313.
