On March 13, Mrs. Jackie Ruiz’s, Science, Chemistry class worked on a diffusion lab. The purpose of the lab was to help students better understand the concept.
“The lab helped me get a better understanding of diffusion. I liked the lab because the design on the paper was really colorful. The lab was really easy and didn’t take very long,” Raychel Anoe (10) said.
The purpose of the lab was to observe diffusion of a gas by observing color changes during chemical reactions. The students were supposed to put food coloring on a piece of surface paper in a circular pattern. After the students put the chemicals in the center of the paper, the food coloring started to spread.
“I wish all of the labs we do in Chemistry were like this,” Anoe said.
The lab only took one class period to accomplish. All of the students finished the lab the same day.
