The boys tennis team won against Michigan City High School 4-1 on Sept. 15. The matches took place on Lake Central’s home courts. In result of good weather conditions and strategic advantages, the boys defeated their opponent.
“I played a very well and consistent game today. The whole team has progressed a lot, and we’re playing better this year,” Matthew Matakovic (10) said.
Pleased with their performance, the boys plan on improving from here on out as they prepare to face their biggest competitor, Crown Point High School.
“Practice, practice, [and more practice] – that’s what we’ll be doing. We are going to be working as hard as we can on these courts and try all new different things prepare before Crown Point and Sectionals,” Richard Larson (11) said.
Their next match will take place on Sept. 17 against Merrillville High School.
