Sofia Hay (11), Cara Scott (11) and Stefan Krajisnik (11) discuss the budget for Prom with their adviser, Mrs. Sarah Verpooten, English. The club met on Feb. 10 to brainstorm ideas for Prom.

Junior Class Cabinet has the responsibility of planning Prom. Prom will be held on May 7 at the Halls of St. George.

“[This year’s theme is] ‘One Thousand and One Nights,’” Cara Scott (11) said.

The club spent their meeting discussing details of the dance.

“We decided on a color scheme which is gold, reds, purples and dark blue. We also discussed favors,” Ms. Carrie Wadycki, English, said.

Along with the color scheme, another important aspect of prom was decided.

“219 Productions is our DJ. We will have photo booths at prom. I think it’ll be a good time – dancing, food, dresses, fun,” Ms. Wadycki said.

With Prom being just a few short months away, members of the club are looking forward to the preparations that need to be made.

“I think it’s going to go really smoothly especially because everyone has been giving their opinions. The theme seems really cool and unique, so I’m really excited to find decorations and to watch everything come together,” Ruth Chen (11) said.
